2008 PRIME-DIME workshop on search regimes and science-based markets (Paris, February 20-22)

mardi 18 janvier 2011, par julien

The seminar aimed to confront and discuss different approaches dealing with science-based markets. Work by PRIME has considered changing search regimes (following Bonaccorsi’s approach) and their institutional implications (Bonaccorsi and Laredo). Work undertaken by DIME members had centred on knowledge commoditisation and the issues associated with strong IPR systems (Dosi, Weinstein and Coriat). The emergence and institutionalisation of venture capital (Petit, Teubal, Antonelli, Revest) was the initial ‘bridge’ linking the work initiated in both networks (for PRIME through the Venture Fun project). This built the basis for an intensive and fruitful exchange and the willingness to develop further joint initiatives.
